Description
Medicine at RCSI Bahrain is focused on preparing students to become highly skilled doctors through a globally recognized program. Students gain strong foundations in biomedical sciences, clinical knowledge, and patient care from early stages. The program emphasizes hands-on clinical experience, communication skills, professionalism, and real-world healthcare environments. Graduates receive internationally recognized degrees from RCSI and the National University of Ireland, allowing global career opportunities.

Study Plan
Year3
Students will start clinical learning in hospitals, do research projects and will learn evidence-based medicine and public health, year 3 will not consist of 2 semesters, it will be delivered from September to May.
Year 1
Will focus on basic biochemistry, anatomy, pharmacology and an introduction to disease mechanisms with cases based learning.
Year 2
Will focus on developing communication, diagnostic skills and an understanding of major diseases and body systems.
Year 4
The study will be in the form of clinical rotation in various of areas such as surgery, Ophthalmology, ENT, psychiatry, family medicine, genecology and pediatrics
Year 5
For the year the student will be working in a medicine and surgery rotation for 24 weeks, then they need to fulfil a sub-internship.
Foundation Year
Gives an introduction to biomedical sciences, chemistry, human biology and basic medical concepts. Not all students go through a foundation year.
